When you think of Erni Loosen, Germany’s great Riesling ambassador from the Mosel Valley comes to mind. But now he’s turning heads in Burgundy – with his very first bottlings of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay under the new Perron de Mypont label.
This milestone isn’t a casual side project. Loosen has nurtured a deep connection to Burgundy since an internship in the 1980s, and he’s finally brought that dream to fruition alongside local partner Manöel Bouchet. Together, they’ve crafted two distinct tiers: Maison wines, which offer approachable Bourgogne-level expressions, and the more exclusive Edition wines focused on iconic sites like Meursault, Volnay, Vosne-Romanée, and Vougeot.
